I've boycotted Meta platforms for a while, among other reasons because I think they're too big and have too much influence, the kind that shouldn't be in the hands of corporations/billionaires. But it was always a bit handwavy as an argument because Meta is not taking credit for things like getting Trump elected.
But now with the Musk story, who is dumb enough to be that obvious in his manipulation of the public, it's easier to make this point. Corporate social media is a threat to society.
