I’m finding it surprisingly hard to function through the lapping grief of the still ongoing Trout & Long fires, which are taking out one of my favorite places, the Domelands. The fires were predictable, and they could have been partially avoided or prepared for, but none of that work happened. I reported cone every year, but nobody collected. Thinning would have helped Trout, but it didn’t happen. Actual containment would have helped Long, but nobody gives a fuck about pinyon juniper. I can’t
