I imagine it was frustrating for them. It definitely frustrated me to start an answer with “I think it’s unlikely I would ever find myself in this situation. Here’s all the things I would do way way earlier to make sure it never happened”. Then they protested “but unknown unknowns”, and I said something like “I get paid to manage risk, have contingencies and not make the same mistake twice ever, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes, so no unknown unknowns.” Bullshit conversation.
