At the risk of bringing everybody down, something I've observed many, many times (including in myself) is how software developers become fully formed during the first few years of their careers. There are always exceptions, of course.
But for most developers, the die is cast and they're the developer they're always going to be after those first few years. So if their career begins in teams who don't test their code much, who don't think much about modularity and design,... (1/n)
