What happens if we *deviate* from this mean energy distribution within the circle?
Note that if we draw our attention back to the neurophysiological gradient signals, we could say that the neurophysiological signals are deviations from this somewhat “local” mean. The “haze” is “up”, for example. The “coloured wedges” are “down”.
