I spent the morning and early afternoon at my Guild's dye day. We had two dye pots going and I brought a bunch of sample skeins, enough to make 4 oz/13 g all together, but only ended up putting 4 sample skeins into each one because I got there late and the pots were already full. Here's the before/after.
After: Madder I'm less jazzed about madder, which is an orangey red (a little deeper & it would be barn red) and brown on the iron-mordanted wool.
After 1: Thr Cochineal Dark and light skeins of yarn are twisted together to form a SuperSkein on a dark wood table. The lighter color is a raspberry red - a blue-red, really. The dark is a deep grape purple.
BEFORE: Four skeins of yarn on a dark wood table. The two skeins on the right are white (but mordanted with alum) and the two on the right are kind of a medium tan (mordanted in iron).
