Working on the new Dev-log about stylized lowpoly texturing in blender. We also got some more updates with cool character expression sheets from Majikarpette.
Taking a bit longer to write down the steps in the process and show some useful tricks in Blender.

Ambient occlusion is a process where a computer 3d model is shaded with a uniform hemisphere of light to check what areas are occluded during millions of samples in a ray tracing stage. This is sometimes referred to as ground truth and abbreviated as GT. Thus this is GTAO; ground-truth ambient occlusion.
I used the Ambient occlusion pass as a base for painting the model of a lowpoly boat repair shop. Only the roof and a few wooden beams are painted up for now.
