Wait, so in Windows programming, every single DLL in the entire executable needs to be either Debug, or they all need to be Release? You're not supposed to mix-and-match Debug DLLs with Release DLLs?

That seems crazy. Executables routinely link with hundreds of DLLs, and you're usually only interested in debugging a single one of them

When's the last time you legitimately wanted to debug *every* library in an executable (and weren't working on a toy)?
