In 2008, Torquay, Victoria, Australia native, Leonie Allan, took his dog, Rex for a walk, when they saw a kangaroo on the side of the road, that was sadly struck and killed by a car. When they returned home, Rex ran off and came back with the mother kangaroo’s 4-month-old joey, who miraculously survived the ordeal! Before going to a wildlife sanctuary, the joey bonded with Rex, as they cuddled and played together! Who doesn’t love a story that has a happy ending?
