A better question to ask - and I don't see any pundits asking this for obvious reasons - is why won't the centre compromise on these basic things which would drastically improve most people's lives?
That programme includes overturning President Macron’s pension reforms, and wealth redistribution through tax rises for the better-off. Will they be willing to drop those commitments as a condition for sharing power?
