With Boston closed, this very profitable trade shut down. Trade between Bergen and the German cities continued, but not quite at the same level of profitability. It was one of many steps in the slow decline of the Kontor in Bergen.
After the war, in the summer of 1475, the Hanseatic merchants reopened the Steelyard in London, and trade there recovered quite well (it was finally closed by Queen Elizabeth in 1599).
Boston was also reopened, but never recovered.
