Politicians say there's nothing they can do about insanely-high food prices. The truth of the matter is that, as long as someone else is growing our food, nothing is going to change. Between the grower and the consumer, there are various middlemen, each wanting their cut, some to feed their own families, and some out of pure greed. If we want to make a lasting effect on food prices, we need to re-learn how to grow our own. There's no other way.
