The Chrotogale owstoni, or Owston’s Palm Civet inhabits Laos, Southern China, and Vietnam. Named in honor of naturalist Alan Ownston, they are one of the world’s smallest civets, with a head-and-body length of only 57 centimeters or 23 inches and weigh 4 to 6 pounds.
