The Martes americana or American Pine Marten is native to Alaska, Canada, Humboldt County, California, Newfoundland, and Northern New Mexico. At lengths of 1.5 to 2.2ft, with 135 to 160-millimeter or 5.4 to 6.4-inch tails, and weighing 1.1 to 3.1 pounds, they are the smallest species of pine marten, in North America!
