After watching all the available episodes of Heaven Official's Blessing, I started borrowing the books from the library.
In the MAL comments for the show, there were multiple mentions of the romance being much less subtle in the books. And after reading the first two books, which covered the same content, it seemed about the same.
Book 3 had a tiny bit, but was mostly a flashback.
Then I got book 4. I'm only two chapters in, but based on the cover I am guessing it will finally ramp up.
