#nowplaying IAH - III
One of those records where I went: "What an interesting cover, wonder what they sound like."
Discogs classifies it as Post Rock/Post Metal, but I always find that "Post-X"/"Progressive X" doesn't tell me much.
No vocals (often a bonus to me), technically complex while still retaining groove and head-nodding vibes, doesn't get noodly or overly technical. It gets loud without being just noise.
I love it to bits and have bought their whole catalog.
IAH's album III playing on a DP-30L turntable. The record is a transparent vinyl with white, grey and black splatters. The cover in the background has three black monolith-like objects standing amidst clouds on the hills covered in forest; it is entirely monochrome (black/white/grey).
