I just watched the trailer for #ACompleteUnknown, the biopic with Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan, and wished Gene Vick were still alive. Gene was intensely a Dylan fan. As Business Manager of Ironworkers377 he talked me out of my general foreman’s job and into an organizer’s. You see the Transamerica pyramid in #SanFrancisco, think of Gene. He was a connector on it, long blond hair from under his hardhat, one of the two Ironworkers high in the air to catch the steel from the derrick and hang it.
