So I finally watched Celine Dion's performance of l'hymne à l'amour at the Olympics. Unsurprisingly, I wept, drowned in a giant wave of emotion.
We're very close to the same age and she grew up only an hour-ish drive away from where I spent most of my childhood. I've known about her nearly all my life (save for the first 8 years or so) so the impact of that performance is quite deep for me.
Anyway, I don't think I need to watch the games, I just saw/heard the best part.
