The last couple of days I heard a Green Frog calling from behind the garden fence. Unusual, because the next lake is about 600 meters away (as the crow flies), but steep terrain and roads to cross if you are a frog.
This morning I found it in the birdbath. It clearly did not want to see me 🤷♀️ .
A mottled brown frog trying to hide under a flat rock that is partially submerged under water. Only the head of the frog fits under the rock.
