I suspect that there is little understanding among ordinary subjects-of-the-realm, as to how big an industry there is helping the wealthy not pay their taxes. It is absolutely huge.

When the Daily Mail persuades folks to whine about how complex the tax codes are, they've won an important misdirection battle: the tax codes are complex because so many exceptionally well paid people make their living finding loopholes each budget. This is not a legitimate way to live.
