An axe I'd really, really like to no longer be able to grind:
I work at a university in Canada. Many of my colleagues (like myself!) grew up in the US. They're generally fine if eccentric people. BUT, so many seem oblivious that they're, in fact, not still in the United States. Like, they crossed the border to get here. They had to apply and receive some sort of immigration status. Some have even become citizens, pronouncing words they may or may not have agreed with about the Queen/King...
