This morning I had to deactivate the eGPU after running it for a few days on a trial basis. It''s a Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Puck RX 5700.
On a Mac mini 2018 with macOS Sonoma, several browsers (Librewolf, Safari, Chrome) keep crashing when I use it. Safari is particularly unstable. Other Apps seem to run fine, games included.
The system is stable after switching back to the integrated Intel UHD Graphics. Oh, my.
But that's not too tragic right now, because it has heated up the room even more. 🥵
