Nice to see members of the Police force joining in with the Leeds Pride celebration. This always arouses hostility from those who consider that the police should remain 'neutral' at public events. But Pride is not the same as a demonstration, is it? Does Police involvement in #Pride marches operate cynically (woke-washing) or does it help to build trust between #LGBTQ+ people and the police (we remember a time when the police were a hostile force and 'gay-bashing' went unreported)? Thoughts?
