And really, electrifying a tram line is *easier than electrifying pretty much anything else*
It's in a city - power readily available
Routes are short - so you don't need many substations or much wire
Routes are fixed - so you know where to put wires
Speeds are low - so you don't need very high wire tension
Voltage is low - so you don't need advanced insulators
Like really, there is pretty much no transport mode that is *easier* to electrify than a tram
