If I could wish me something from #dotnet and #csharp is an async version of the idiomatic Try... pattern:
Task<bool> TryX(object something, out object value)
This currently fails because async methods cannot have "out" parameters. Sure, I read Mr Skeet's answer under https://stackoverflow.com/a/20868150/51428, but I guess the whole issue arises because you can't force a Task consumer to definitely await the Task returned.
