To be fair, all the concepts of 3D game development are pretty new to me - whether it's shaders, polygons and their triangulation, creating the planet itself based on geodata, and creating terrain based on real geodata (still in process).
And sometimes things don't go well.
(this video is from ~2 weeks ago - the problem with polygons is solved now, but you can easily guess why this happened to someone who has never tried to map 2D coordinates onto a sphere)
