Query re ActivityPub and the Fediverse: (because of concerns I'm reading about Mastodon and Eugen and Threads ndas etc) is it possible to easily follow and share with Mastodon acounts from outside the Mastodon platform using Activitypub/rss? (yes I'm clueless on this, you can explain like I'm five). Are there other popular federated compatible platforms? Should I look at other protocols? How can folk futureproof/sell-out-proof their social media participation? Feel free to point at post/article.
