it could be i have a wrong driver for my graphics card, i have to say i don't fully know how it all links together.
i don't know how to reproduce the bus errors, but once they start appearing they seem to be consistent until a reboot.
i have enabled debugging symbols for most of the relevant stuff, i believe, and have tried to enable logging for mesa and opengl, but:
- opengl is saying nothing useful
- mesa is not putting anything in MESA_LOG_FILE
