I think I saw my first parallel program about 15 years ago and, although I don’t remember the details, it must have taken me no more than 5 minutes to conclude that this is impossibly hard and no one should have to do it.
After all these years, I still haven’t changed my mind.
When I hear someone saying “you know what, let me draw a sequence diagram”, I feel exactly the same way as if we’re at a party and they started talking about “the good aspects of crypto”.
It’s only downhill from there.
