Finally sat down and read an excerpt of my daughter's WIP graphic novel that she shared with me over a month ago.
I enjoyed it. It was good. I want to read more & see how she builds this world out.
I had been avoiding reading it and was _terrified_ that my worst critical tendencies, both as an editor and reader, would come out.
She is fully capable of writing well & I can dispense with some of my asshole, critical tendencies.
Terribly brave of her to share it with me. I am honored.
