Today's fun bug: Tried to download several directories over FTP, each of which had several thousand files in. All worked 'successfully' according to FTP client (FileZilla), but lots of files were missing. Turns out that the FTP server doesn't return a full directory listing if there are 'too many' files, but doesn't tell you this.
(yes I know FTP is bad and wrong, but shared hosting providers still use it - thankfully this one also had the option to enable SSH so I could use scp).
