Okay, finally got localhost working over https on my mac.
Basic steps:
1) Install mkcert
1) Drag mkcert certs into Mac keychain to make sure they're trusted
2) Use mkcert inside Python app folder to make cert.pem and key.pem
3) Pass those when running the app, using ssl_context for Flask or certfile/keyfile for Quart
..can it be simplified?
