I also agree that Mint is not the obvious choice anymore. Zorin OS is also really good; only it's now older base and mismatched GNOME versions hold it back. Pop!_OS will probably be a good choice again once 24.04 releases; only it's really out of date base holds it back for now. Tuxedo OS is really good for KDE Plasma users, I think it's better than modern Linux Mint too!
