Dear Fosstodonians. I need an advice on a backup solution for my personal Wordpress based blog.

So far, I have been using a handmade Bash script, a combination of rsync, mysqldump and ssh commands (rsync blog files, then mysqldump the database and pipe it to local via gzip).

This works but it lacks rotation (I rotate manually) plus it's a full backup every day which saturates my slow home link (not to mention disk space).

Any recommendations?

Blog sits on Ubuntu VPS. Local is Synology NAS.
