I’ve been writing Rust professionally since 2018. This is, I believe, only the second time I’ve had to write unsafe code. And like the time before it, it has to do with some extremely low level stuff that is actually very unsafe 😂 in this case, it’s to do with interpreting a slice of bytes as having a particular structure (bit fields for serialization and storage).
