One topic I really want to write about is steel threads. @jaderubick wrote a good post (https://www.rubick.com/steel-threads/) about them a bit over a year ago. As he describes, it’s an idea that seems to have come and gone in terms of traction with the industry, but I’ve used it before to good effect. In particular, I go back to the architectural/systems design perspective on them as a technique for approaching end-to-end design, often in the context of complex systems.
