“Accessible” is an interesting metric here. What do you mean by that?
The difference in MIT and GPL is primarily what responsibility others have to share their changes. Often this boils down to MIT being pro-business and GPL putting up guardrails to prevent companies from keeping their enhancements locked up.
If accessibility includes access in underserved communities, GPL goes further to keep your code FOSS. If accessibility means doing whatever you want, then MIT takes those guardrails off.
