I finished #TheAcolyte and I can say, definitively, it was THE example of a show with great potential that was set up to fail.
The bones of a good story, compelling characters and an overall promising premise, that was ultimately the victim of its far too short format. Eight episodes at fortyish minutes apiece was just not enough time to tell the story they clearly wanted to tell.
