I'm reading out Wind in the Willows to a friend, and more than ever I cannot but realize it's a classic "plucky brits kick out jerry occupation" 1900's story. Reading it aloud makes it _so_ much clearer that that's what Kenneth Grahame had on his mind than just reading it. But it's still very good for reading out: friend was in stitches. Week after next probably will be the finish.
