Tags > folders
Folders (or directories) are good for things that don't have an obvious location otherwise, like files.
Bookmarks, songs, projects on Git servers, pictures... all have a location, so tags are much better. #Firefox already kind of does this (tags for bookmarks), but you can't add a tag to the bookmark bar, so it's kind of useless. It'd be nice to have Mastodon in "social media" and "open source" and have those two tags on the bookmark bar like folders.
