When storing stuff offsite, it is nice to store up to around 95%, within reason (still well under the hard space exhaustion threshold), and ZFS isn't happy with anything over ~80-90 percent.
Wonder what the best balance is... maybe just deal with ZFS, or go with LUKS + btrfs with sha-256 checksumming.
