Happy 91st birthday to Gene Kranz, acclaimed NASA Flight Director, born in 1933.

Kranz is best known for directing the Mission Control team to save the crew of Apollo 13. We all remember his portrayal by Ed Harris in the 1995 film "Apollo 13."
