I feel like the greatest problem with the modern technology is that our benevolent landlords still can't figure out what makes territory in it. Sure you can own the factories and the research labs, but that doesn't guarantee success if you make them work on the wrong things. They invented intellectual property to make ideas behave more like territory, but that doesn't work either, because as soon as you try to own the ideas, you stop innovation. So they reverted to just hoarding money.
