The problem with the #CCPA and #GDPR is that the onus of deleting user accounts is on the user itself. Do you honestly remember all the accounts you’ve created so far?
I think a better approach would be to set a time limit. For example if the user hasn’t logged in for a year, delete the account. Or every year send a reminder to the user to allow them to keep your account
That way if any breaches do occur, governments can see if the companies were complying with the time requirements
