Being at the decision table is very hard for people like me.
But once you get there, it's even harder.
Getting to be heard, choosing which battles to fight and how to fight them, accepting that you are going to lose more often than win (and that's why you have to choose very well) is exhausting, frustrating and demoralizing.
But someone has to do it because winning those small battles brings you (and all the people you represent at that table) closer to the change we want to achieve.
