Took it 3 attempts to set up Ubuntu; 2nd attempt was when I realized that I can trick the installer GUI to use disk encryption for the Ubuntu partition without erasing Windows which I want to keep in case I get some weird R CMD check error that only occurs on Windows (and to play Train Sim World), and the 3rd attempt when I found a trick using 3rd party tool to further shrink Windows partition since I would use Ubuntu most of the time. Took a lot of tech savviness... 3/n
