To really level up as a programmer, in any language in any context, learn to:
* write developer tests along with code
* create layers and modules that are easier to test
That's it. Now bugs will mostly emerge when you write them and they are easy to find and fix. You can build something complicated without having to wait for it all to exist before you can test it. And it will be much more solid when you do.
It takes experience and practice to get good at this!
