Some of the highlights:
- Allow to handle compressed modules even without decompression libraries linked in.
- Add weak dependencies
- Improve compatibility with non-gnu libc like musl and uClibc.
- Speed up zstd decompression
- Stop parsing .alias files from modprobe.d directories.
- Since kmod 29 there's a github mirror for the repository. Now it's also used for issues and improvement tracking.
