It's in Goldman Sachs' interest to play up the energy consumption of AI as much as possible to justify fossil fuel expansion.
Crucially though, they aren't actually predicting most of this new power generation, pipeline capacity, and other fossil fuel infrastructure will be for AI.
The generation is actually meant to cover overall electrification and industrial reshoring.
Electrification in particular is a necessary part of actually dealing with climate change...just with renewables
