Just came across #serveo, apparently a free, no-signup, #ssh-based #ngrok alternative with stable identifiers to make reverse tunnels to access machines buried in networks.
One can use an own ssh server for this, but having serveo removes the need to maintain another one.
Seems to be proprietary though... 😕
